Mexico requires a passport for entry. If you do not yet have your passport, here are the deadlines to make sure you receive it on time for the wedding:
Normal Processing - apply by November 11, 2022
Expedited Processing - apply by by December 15, 2022

You do not need a Covid-19 vaccine or test to enter Mexico. Depending on the airline, you may need to take a Covid test before returning to the United States. Check with your airline and the CDC for latest updates.

The average high in February ranges from 72 to 76 in the day and 44 to 47 at night.
The weather is springy although you’ll need a to bring a jacket at night.

The best way to exchange money is to withdraw from an ATM using your debit card once you arrive to Mexico City.
Cash can be exchanged at the airport at a currency exchange service which you’ll see once you’ve collected your baggage and exited the customs area.
You can also order pesos from your local bank before you depart.

We love this city and lived there for nearly 2 years. We feel safer there than in Atlanta! Like any other major city, use street smarts and stick to the nice neighborhoods and you’ll be fine.

Most mobile phone plans will work in Mexico City and some are free of charge. The best way to communicate is through WhatsApp.
Another option is to purchase a Mexican SIM card once you arrive. The cost is about $10-$15. This can be done easily at a cellular store in the airport once you land. The store attendant can help you choose a temporary plan/credit, install the card, and get your phone going. (This option will enable you to get Uber from the airport.)

Once you land, the best way to get from the airport to your accommodation is to use Uber. Uber rides in Mexico city are abundant and cheap.
You’ll need to ensure that your phone is working in Mexico for this option. Please see the previous question for tips.

The best way to get around the city is using the Uber app. It’s safe, professional and cheap. Walking is another way to explore this beautiful city!

Absolutely not - unless you plan to drive out of the city. Mexico City has plenty of public transportation - buses, subways and taxis - but Uber is the best way to get around.

All guests (+1’s) must be requested in the RSVP form. We will confirm guests by October 31st. We’d love for everyone to come, but unfortunately there is limited space and seating.

Children over 12 years old are permitted to attend as a guest. Please request your little guests in the RSVP form. For children under 12, we will have an onsite babysitting service during the ceremony and reception.

We’d advise to arrive the day before the ceremony on Thursday, February 2nd. If you plan to arrive on Friday, the day of the ceremony, traffic can cause delays of up to 2 hours or more!
We love Mexico City and encourage everyone to stay and experience the city as well as other parts of the country. Intra-Mexico flights are very cheap! Our favorite places to visit are the beaches of Todos Santos or Puerto Escondido.
